Comfortably Chic
In my first year working in the corporate world, I have made it my mission to master my wardrobe. This meant parting ways with the bulk of my college go-to’s to evolve my closet into a more sophisticated, simple, yet versatile collection. I must confess, despite being a fashion lover, I still prefer to slide into my coziest pieces- I will probably die in a sweatsuit (if I am lucky enough). As I have adapted my wardrobe to my more timeless, elevated aesthetic, I have found a new mission: how can I dress beautifully while remaining comfortable. I do not mind stuffing myself into a stiff pair of jeans, REAL bra, and big girl shoes for a night out or when the occasion calls for it. Work, however, is not one of those occasions.
Comfort is paramount when I am dressing for work; with that being said, I am the type of person who needs to feel cute in what I am wearing. My dress code at work calls for business casual attire; I could really do the bare bones and squeak by, but I would feel distracted and not my best self sporting an outfit that isn’t up to my standards.
Here enlies my greatest mission: how to dress incredibly chic while maintaining the utmost comfort. Let me jump ahead here and tell you that it is indeed possible. Here, I will share the pieces that have allowed me to hack the system, and how to style them. I truly find that I receive more compliments when I am sporting one of these pieces than my non-cozy outfits! Check out my insta to see how I have styled these pieces in the office, and please please please drop any recommendations in my submissions box!

Starting off strong with these Vince satin pants
Stretchy waistband
Loose fit but still appear tailored
Look very chic and, dare I say, fancy...!
Comfy AF and easy to style

Moving onto the infamous Sweans/Jweats by Rag & Bone
People truly do not know that these are not denim
Stretchy waist and loose fit (even the button & pockets are fake LOL)
Fall perfectly mid-waist (not low and not too high)
Still stylish as ever and go with every outfit
Bonus for being warmer than most "work pants" in the chilly seasons

Onto the drawstring wide-leg work pant by Gap
You can get any size and this drawstring will give you the ability to have a perfectly fitting waistline (I sized up and they still fit beautifully thanks to the handy drawstring)
No weird bulge of material in your lower belly
Sometimes I find these oversized pants are unflattering AF because the extra material in your tummy area balloons out- especially with a drawstring waist band- not these guys!
Look sophisticated and put together- perfect work pants!
Easy to style with either tight or loose/oversized tops
Sometimes, on cold days, I will fit another pair of pants underneath for extreme comfort!

Another FIRE knit-fit from Gap
This is one I pull out on particularly lazy days
For many of you this would be pushing the dress-code boundaries, but I have gotten away with this in my "business casual" office
Beyond comfortable and incredibly cute with the cable-knit detailing
I would recommend dressing this up with a cute pair of shoes, some strong jewelry, a fancy chain-strapped bag, and a nice trench (as pictured here!)

We've taken a turn to cozy-land with these Aritzia lounge pants
Another pair of knit pants that are ridiculously comfortable and fit so nicely on the legs
Your legs feel so free and breathable
Easy to style and can be dressed up to be more office appropriate
I typically style these guys with a black sweater, leather sneaks, and a leather jacket
